The Storm

Rain falls down

Collects on the branches

Weighing down the tree

The pressure becomes too much

Branches creak

Closer and closer to the ground

Going to break

Can’t take anymore

Sun comes out

Dries the branches

Lifting up the tree

Feeling lighter than air

Branches sigh

Higher and higher towards the sky

Filling with relief

Made it through the storm
